Description
The High Pressure Reciprocating Plunger Pump is a crucial component in the domain of liquid transmission and pressure control. Its compact design and efficient operation make it a popular choice for various applications. Comprising of a pump cylinder, piston, suction valve, discharge valve, and piston rod, this pump functions by utilizing the reciprocating motion of the plunger for liquid transmission. Its working principle revolves around the plunger's back-and-forth motion, which rapidly draws liquid from the suction end and then pushes it to the discharge end under pressure. Additionally, this pump is capable of operating in high-pressure situations, ensuring steady flow and pressure output.
Features
The High Pressure Reciprocating Plunger Pump boasts a compact structure, with its small footprint made possible by the integration of key components. This thoughtful design not only enhances the pump's efficiency but also minimizes the floor space it requires.
One of the benefits of this particular type of pump is its self-priming ability. Unlike some other pump varieties, it can start working without needing to be filled with liquid beforehand. This is because the pump is capable of sucking liquid by itself, without any external intervention. So, whenever you turn it on, you can rest assured that the liquid will be drawn into the pump without any issues. This makes it a very convenient option for those who value ease of use and reliability.
One limitation of the pump is its restricted installation height. Due to the way it operates, there needs to be a specific height difference between the suction and discharge of the pump. This means that it cannot be installed in just any location and must be carefully considered during installation.
This pump operates under a unique flow control mode that differs from other pumps in the market. Unlike other pumps where flow is regulated directly by the valve, this pump's flow is adjusted either by bypassing the pipe or controlling the piston reciprocating times and stroke. It is an efficient mechanism that ensures optimal flow control, making the pump ideal for a wide range of applications. With such a flow control mechanism, you can be confident that the pump delivers reliable and consistent performance with minimal intervention.
The high-pressure, low-viscosity liquid transmission capability of this pump makes it ideal for accurately controlling liquid flow and pressure in various fields. However, it is important to note that this pump is not suitable for conveying corrosive liquids due to its structural and material characteristics. If you need to handle fluids that are corrosive in nature, you will need to consider other pumping options. Nevertheless, for applications that require precise control of low viscosity fluids, this pump is an excellent choice.
Application
The transportation and control of liquids is vital in the petrochemical industry, particularly when dealing with high-pressure systems. To ensure accuracy in this process, the use of a High Pressure Reciprocating Plunger Pump is highly recommended. This pump effectively transports liquids and provides precise control over their flow. By utilizing this advanced technology, the petrochemical industry can optimize its operations and achieve efficient liquid distribution within high-pressure systems.
When it comes to conducting scientific experiments and laboratory applications, precision in flow and pressure control is absolutely crucial. Thankfully, pumps offer a dependable solution for this need.
Controlling the transportation and injection of liquid is crucial in the food processing industry. Accurate management of these factors is essential to maintain the quality and consistency of the final product.
The working principle
As the piston makes its way towards the right, pressure in the pump cylinder drops, allowing liquid from the inlet pipeline to flow in via the suction valve. When the piston moves towards the left, it compresses the liquid in the cylinder, leading to an increase in pressure, which is then released through the discharge valve. This type of pump is referred to as a single-acting pump, since it carries out one working cycle each time the piston reciprocates, involving one suction and discharge of liquid. If the piston moves back and forth just once, the liquid gets sucked in and discharged twice, transforming it into a double-acting pump. Each end-to-end movement of the piston is known as a stroke.
Flow and pressure head
The flow rate of high-pressure pump has nothing to do with the pressure head, but with the size of pump cylinder, piston stroke and the number of reciprocating. The theoretical flow rate of single-acting pump is QT = Asn reciprocating pump. The actual flow rate of single-acting pump is smaller than the theoretical flow rate, and decreases with the increase of pressure head. This is due to leakage. The pressure head of high-pressure reciprocating pump has nothing to do with the flow rate and the geometric size of the pump, but is determined by the mechanical strength of the pump and the power of the prime mover.
